Craig

Mental Health Responder

Meet Craig, a proud father and dedicated owner of Bristol’s 247 Auto Repairs garage, specialising in repairs and diagnostics.

Passionate about lifting people up, not down, Craig is deeply committed to supporting others in their mental health journeys. This commitment stems from a combination of personal childhood trauma and his own experiences with mental health illnesses, including bipolar disorder, psychosis, and ADHD. Despite facing these challenges, Craig has equipped himself with coping mechanisms, referring to his journey as managing “superpowers.” Recognising that mental health is an ongoing process, he believes it requires continuous effort every day.

Craig’s passion extends to his role as a Mental Health Responder at Hope Against Suicide. With genuine enthusiasm, he embraces the opportunity to work with individuals in need, offering support in various forms. Whether it’s a conversation, a simple smile, or a nod of acknowledgment during community patrols, Craig appreciates the adaptability of their support on a personal, human-to-human level. Grateful for the support he received during his own challenging times, Craig is motivated to give back. He acknowledges the close call he had with his own life and is now thankful for the chance to offer support to others who may be in similar situations.
